If you’ve been feeling like the usual Medal grind in Helldivers 2 is getting a bit routine, Arrowhead has some massive news. The developers are shaking up how we fight for Super Earth by introducing Galactic War Campaigns—a multi-week evolution of Major Orders—and they are bringing a completely revamped reward structure with them.
Instead of just stacking up standard Medals, we are finally getting highly anticipated, gameplay-altering items and exclusive content that we can actually drive, shoot, and wear.
Here is a breakdown of what we are fighting for in the coming weeks.
Let’s start with the headline act. The very first multi-week campaign, kicking off in June 2026, tasks the entire community with a singular, massive goal: unlocking a brand-new Fast Reconnaissance Vehicle (FRV).
While a baseline scout vehicle is exciting enough, leaks and developer hints suggest we might be getting some serious firepower and utility right out of the gate. Word on the Super Earth grapevine points to at least two distinct variants:
The Flamer FRV: A heavily armored variant equipped with a flamethrower. Perfect for clearing Bug nests or giving the Automatons a taste of pure, concentrated liberty.
The Supply FRV: A specialized support vehicle designed to keep your squad rearmed and stimmed up on the move.
Arrowhead isn’t stopping at vehicles. The plan moving forward is to use these 1-to-3-week campaigns to consistently drop unique, experimental items. The developers have explicitly stated they want to experiment with this reward system over the coming months based on how we, the community, respond.
We can expect a mix of two main reward types:
Gameplay-Altering Effects: Think modified Stratagems along the lines of the wildly popular (and beautifully chaotic) temporary Orbital Napalm Gatling Barrage, or entirely unique battlefield tools.
Special Physical Items: This means unique cosmetic additions and specialized gear designed to give us a concrete goal to chase outside of the traditional Warbonds.
We’ve all been there: you log in, dive into Hell, carry your weight on a brutal planet, but the community ultimately falls short of the Major Order, leaving you with empty hands. To prevent player burnout and ensure our individual efforts actually mean something, Arrowhead is splitting the campaign progression into a brilliant two-track system.
This is the big stuff, like the new FRV. These high-tier rewards are dispatched to the entire community, but there’s a catch—we only get them if the overarching planet warfront or multi-week campaign objective is successfully met. It’s all or nothing for Super Earth.
Say goodbye to the old, basic "Personal Orders" daily system. This new personal track allows you to unlock individual rewards and what the devs call "cool things" completely independent of whether the community wins or loses the broader war. If you put in the work, you will get rewarded.
Note: The team mentioned that while the Galactic Campaigns are launching first, this personal track system is slated to deploy slightly after the initial launch.
Overall, this feels like exactly what Helldivers 2 needs to keep the Galactic War feeling alive, urgent, and worth fighting for. See you on the front lines, divers—let's go get that vehicle.
