Sanctuary gets a different rhythm in Season 14, known as Death Awakening. The season is scheduled to begin on June 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. PDT, though the in-game countdown is still the safest way to check your local time. You'll spend much of the opening stretch chasing Pandemonium Ruptures, collecting Glints of Hope, and building up seasonal reputation, with D4 Gold remaining useful for early gear and routine expenses.
How the seasonal loop works
Ruptures appear across Sanctuary and show up more often during Helltides. Normal versions are simple monster events. Surging Ruptures can replace Helltide activities and may summon a Realmwalker, while Colossal Ruptures in the Fields of Desecration guarantee one. Defeating a Realmwalker opens a Deathtoll Chamber, and Nightmare Dungeons with the Rupture affix can lead there too. These chambers reward Superior Lair Keys, which open the Corrupted Reaper's chest in Zarbinzet after the seasonal questline is complete. It's a connected loop, not a collection of unrelated chores.
Where the rewards start to separate
Veteran players will notice the difference between activities quickly. Some content is better for reputation, while other runs are aimed at boss keys or rare crafting materials.
Activity Entry or trigger Main reward Normal Rupture Open world and Helltide Glints of Hope Deathtoll Chamber Realmwalker or Rupture Sigil Superior Lair KeysPandemonium Fragments come from the reputation track and the Corrupted Reaper. Five fragments plus an eligible Unique of at least 850 Item Power can be used in the Horadric Cube, although the result may become another Unique for that slot. The Jeweler offers another route with three Resplendent Sparks and 15 required runes. Mythic Uniques are always Ancestral, carry maximum-value affixes, and increase their Unique Power by 30%. Only one crafted Mythic Unique can be equipped, so choosing the right slot matters.
Build choices, SSF, and the Tower
Season 14 also changes how players approach progression. Enchanting can reroll one unwanted affix on Unique, Mythic Unique, and iconic Mythic items. Party members can synchronise War Plan boards, which should make group planning less awkward. Solo Self Found characters cannot trade or join parties, and that choice stays locked for the season. SSF gets separate Normal and Hardcore Tower leaderboards, while the Tower itself leaves beta and adds rewards for milestone tiers, high rankings, and rank one.
There isn't a trustworthy Season 14 tier list before real testing begins. The strongest builds will need to clear Ruptures, handle the Corrupted Reaper, survive Deathtoll Chambers, and push the Tower without relying too heavily on perfect drops. Leveling speed and SSF performance will matter as much as peak boss damage. Start by advancing the questline, gathering fragments, saving suitable high-power Uniques, and choosing blessings that match your goal. If you're stocking up for the launch, buy D4 Gold through a reliable source before the season gets busy, then focus on the systems that fit your build rather than chasing every reward at once.
